"Scouting is the character school for the individual.
To the leaders it gives practice in responsibility and in the qualities of
leadership. To the scouts it gives subordination of self to the interests of
the whole. The elements of self-denial and self control involved in the team
spirit of co-operation and good comradeship".
Today, we seemed to forget what importance there is in scouting. Most of us were fooled of other interests and ideals. Only to find out eventually we have weak and vulnerable youth. In the changing fortunes of time, we never learn from our mistakes.
I thank you parents for coming in to Scouting this time. Thank you for letting your children join this Scouting event. It has been 3 long years since we conducted our last Boy Scouts Investiture. I hope this is not just a timely craze for our childrens' crave for some adventure activities, a spur of the moment. An Investiture should be the beginning of our parents/children's collaboration towards their childrens righteous development.
Believe in Scouting and it will give back endless good returns to believers.
